ANDAM MUALAGAD SA KATAWHAN

Under the mentorship of Mr. John Destacamento, the associate news editor of The Freeman , 13 film media students from Cebu Normal University were formed to create an online publication that embodies the principles of journalism and social media strategy and tactics.

ANG HUWARAN commits to produce relevant news stories and well-curated articles to stimulate important discussions on various social issues today.

OUR LOGO

H stands for HUWARAN. In Filipino, it means— Ideal. A model. The standard. Worthy of being imitated.

Likewise, the elements of the Huwaran logo are the two simplified Corinthian pillars from the Greek Architecture which Romans imitated in the past. The two pillars are intertwined with laurel leaves that symbolizes triumph, honor and peace in Ancient Greek tradition that Romans had also adapted. The logo was designed to reflect the entire imagery of the publication's concept which is to serve as a model in delivering news stories and crafting feature articles among fellow aspiring journalists.
